Back Extending Yoga Ball Exercise for The Lower Back

Yoga balls, otherwise known as fitness or stability balls can be useful in many different types of exercise techniques.

There are several exercises that specifically target the lower back which use a yoga ball.

One of these is a back extension exercise which is designed to strengthen the lower back.

For this exercise an individual must lay face forward on top of the yoga ball with the ball placed underneath of them in their mid-section.

With legs extended, feet placed against a solid-object and arms, palm-side down, aligned with their body, the chest and head are raised.

Be safe when performing this exercise!  Anyone with medical conditions should always check with their doctor before trying anything new.  If you begin to feel any pain, always stop doing the exercise, but without using any jerking motions when you do so.  The bad effects of an injury far outweigh the positive effect of any exercise!
