Dallas Interior Designer, Linda Baker is the Owner and principle designer at Baker Design Group Interior Design. Linda founded this successful Interior Design company in 2005 in Dallas, Texas.

Many leaders in the Design profession, as well as members of the media have recognized Linda Baker for the excellent leadership skills she has demonstrated, as well as the growth strategies enacted in her decorating and design businesses.

Ms. Baker enjoys great pleasure and satisfaction when seeing how her clients readily embrace their newly designed spaces. Noting how her design clients perception is affected by their new environment is always a particular joy for her as well.

At the outset of Linda's professional career, she enjoyed the opportunity to study Radio, Television and Film Broadcasting at Bowling Green State University. She enjoyed working within this profession for more than 12 years in Houston, Texas and was involved with such media outlets as the powerhouse radio stations KIKK, KKHT, KTRH and KODA.

Her professional role in management and sales afforded her the opportunity to work in the area of broadcast sales with sports franchises such as the Rockets, Oilers and Astros, Rockets and Oilers.

Linda was also exposed to media professionals who positively shaped her skill set, outlook and professional abilities during the time she worked in roles where she received experience with Viacom Broadcasting, Westinghouse Broadcasting and Emmis Communications.

There were a number of occasions where Ms. Baker was proud to be honored with the Westinghouse Award for Sales. Being honored with Winners Circle Award for Westinghouse Broadcasting, as well as for other awards of achievement was another of the ways she received recognition from her peers.

Linda Baker also served as President of the Houston Chapter of the American Women in Radio and Television (AWRT) during her tenure.

All of these many experiences played a role in leading Ms. Baker toward the point at which she founded a company called The Creative Branch in 1991. This launched her first venture into designing high-end florals and permanent tree replication.

Permanent interiorscape, creating realistic designs with plants & florals, was one of the design services she enjoyed the opportunity to provide prestigious clients with such as The Four Seasons; Ethan Allan; The Hyatt Regency; Methodist Hospital; The Woodland Resorts; and EXPO Designs; and many additional commercial and interior design trade consumers with her creative design and permanent interiorscape talent.

Her specialty and impressive skill in delivering life-like permanent interiorscape won her Interior Design Firm the highly desired bid at the Moody Gardens Hotel, Spa and Convention Center in Galveston.

The Houston Business Journal also featured Ms. Baker in the Growth Strategies section, which periodically features remarkable stories of business success; along with a coordinated media story presented on the Houston ABC Television affiliate.

The Creative Branch, under Linda Baker's manage, was most recently named a finalist for The Dallas Market Center Annual ARTS Award. The Dallas Market Center Annual ARTS Award is a premier award program for the home decorative accessories industry.

When Ms. Baker moved to Dallas in 2004, this contributed to sale of The Creative Branch, along with the forging of a new partnership with a local Dallas designer. In this new role, Linda quickly helped the design company grow to a new high revenue of a half-million dollars within the first year.

Her many remarkable successes encouraged Ms. Baker to begin Baker Design Group Interior Design and while operating her professional design firm, she became one of the premier designers in Dallas.

Baker Design Group not only has continued to expand within Dallas, but also remains active on design and decorating projects in the Austin, Texas and Houston, Texas market through large scale renovation projects.

Ms. Baker has applied a skillful, creative and winning approach to new build, renovation and redesign of commercial and residential properties for more than 16 years . Her interior design projects endure over the course of many years as continously functional, sensible, and innovative methods of the design trade.

Additionally, Ms. Baker works diligently as an active member of  numerous interior design boards and committees and also works with local and national charitable organizations.
